Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomás Valente kicked off to start the match. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaifar FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Martins's late challenge caught a Pontegaos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 15 minutes, Luís Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontegaos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Luz was a little too slow when João Brás got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luís Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Luís Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontegaos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Bessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 25 played minutes Gaifar FC got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Torres. When Luís Bessa came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Pontegaos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Bessa couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Pontegaos booed when Gaifar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomás Valente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Barros was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 33rd match minute, Gaifar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Brás to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pontegaos's Carlos Araújo got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Pontegaos's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Gomes came free, but Alexandre Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Amadeu Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Brás made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Brás in the 62nd minute of play forced Pontegaos's goalkeeper Alexandre Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lourenço Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Amadeu Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alexandre Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, João Brás ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Luz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 77th minute, Luís Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Gaifar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Valente came free, but Amadeu Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 85thth minute of the game Daniel Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pontegaos's Alexandre Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Brás struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Alexandre Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gaifar FC. In the 93rdth minute of the game Tomás Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaifar FC's Amadeu Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaifar FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
