Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paços de Ferreira's Donato Aragão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilídio Garcez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Águas in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Igor Águas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilídio Garcez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Paulo Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the União de São Roque and the Paços de Ferreira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Paulo Delgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Renato Reis made a precise shot to the right of Éder Brites. União de São Roque's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 17th minute, Lourenço Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lourenço Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilídio Garcez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Humberto Vilela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilídio Garcez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilídio Garcez having to interfere. Éder Brites made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Aragão in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Coutinho in the 34th minute of play forced Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Ilídio Garcez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Águas in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilídio Garcez saved Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. Lourenço Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilídio Garcez having to interfere. A collision led to Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. António Camargo hit a great ball. Igor Águas struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ilídio Garcez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União de São Roque. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by António Camargo during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Paços de Ferreira got a freekick which was hit by António Camargo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Paços de Ferreira getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Domingos Quinaz hit a great ball. Igor Águas in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilídio Garcez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 59 minutes into the match, Paços de Ferreira's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Coutinho came free, but Ilídio Garcez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lourenço Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Ilídio Garcez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União de São Roque. Renato Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Éder Brites tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Lourenço Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paços de Ferreira's Ilídio Garcez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lourenço Coutinho in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilídio Garcez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingos Quinaz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Renato Reis struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Éder Brites didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paços de Ferreira. Donato Aragão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Éder Brites took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
