Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donato Aragão got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Paços de Ferreira's Ilídio Garcez got control of the ball when Daniel Alvarenga tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 5th minute Valério Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilídio Garcez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Donato Aragão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Paços de Ferreira. Maurício Aragão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Palmiro Gonçalves. 0-1. Paços de Ferreira's Renato Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paços de Ferreira's Ilídio Garcez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Reis in the 21st minute of play. Valério Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Reis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilídio Garcez came out and tried to block the shot, but Valério Reis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 31st minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valério Reis was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Daniel Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Odelouca's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilídio Garcez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renato Reis struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Palmiro Gonçalves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paços de Ferreira. Donato Aragão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palmiro Gonçalves having to interfere. Renato Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palmiro Gonçalves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Reis in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Paços de Ferreira defense, Daniel Alvarenga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilídio Garcez. The Paços de Ferreira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilídio Garcez should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valério Reis in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilídio Garcez saved Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, Valério Reis notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Paços de Ferreira's Ilídio Garcez. Ilídio Garcez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Daniel Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Odelouca's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
