The referee showed Emanuel Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes, Terruge's Óscar Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jacinto Morais came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Terruge reached it. F.C.afrt's Jacinto Morais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Neto in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Terruge's Tomás Fontes got a free kick in the 21st minute. After having played for 25 minutes, André Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C.afrt's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30thth minute of the game Rafael Teixeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.afrt's Jacinto Morais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jorge Santos came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Terruge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Santos couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jorge Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Morais was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Santos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Morais saved F.C.afrt from getting behind. Eusébio Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcísio Mafra, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Rafael Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jacinto Morais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Terruge. If Rafael Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Terruge booed when F.C.afrt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Gameiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.afrt's zone, Jorge Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Morais came out of the goal and Jorge Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Branco made a kick off. Jorge Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacinto Morais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Morais having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, F.C.afrt's goalkeeper Jacinto Morais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Santos. In the 60th minute, Terruge's Oliveira Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto Morais. Jacinto Morais yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Terruge's Eusébio Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Tomé in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Terruge's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Tomé came free, but Eusébio Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Terruge getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jorge Santos hit a great ball. Eusébio Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Branco in the 73rd minute of play. Jacinto Morais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliveira Macedo in the 75th minute. When António Gameiro fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C.afrt's protests and gave António Gameiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th match minute, F.C.afrt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Gameiro to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes F.C.afrt got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Barcelos. With a little luck, F.C.afrt's Jacinto Morais got control of the ball when Oliveira Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Adelino Coutinho in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Terruge's Bento Nogueira. If Marco Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 91 played minutes F.C.afrt got a freekick which was hit by Avelino Assis. In the 92nd minute, Jorge Santos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Rafael Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Morais having to interfere. Jacinto Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Santos in the 99th minute of play. When the match was over Terruge could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C.afrt throughout the match.
