Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruno Telinhos kicked off to start the match. After 8 played minutes Areosa got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Vigário. After a defensive mix-up in Areosa's zone, Abílio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Fidalgo came out of the goal and Abílio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herberto Domingos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mariano Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Tafoneiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Éder Sabrosa. Mariano Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herberto Domingos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tomás Fidalgo was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Bruno Telinhos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bruno Telinhos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Tomás Fidalgo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Pinheiro. If Bruno Telinhos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herberto Domingos kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Abílio Borgess short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Tomás Fidalgo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Areosa's Tomás Fidalgo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Telinhos in the 35th minute of play. Bruno Telinhos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomás Fidalgo came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno Telinhos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 44th minute. In the 47th match minute, Tafoneiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Figueiras to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abel Júdice to make the kick off. Abel Júdice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hermenegildo Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Areosa's protests and gave Hermenegildo Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, Areosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermenegildo Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Areosa's zone, Éder Sabrosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Fidalgo came out of the goal and Éder Sabrosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tafoneiro FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. João Figueiras hit a great ball. Bruno Telinhos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Abel Júdice managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Areosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Júdice was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Areosa's Herberto Domingos got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abílio Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Fidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Telinhos in the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Telinhos in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Fidalgo saved Areosa from getting behind. Herberto Domingos in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mariano Costa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Tafoneiro FC's zone, Abel Júdice stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Costa came out of the goal and Abel Júdice tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herberto Domingos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abílio Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 97th match minute, Tafoneiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Lustosa to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Vítor Araújo in the 99th minute really tested Mariano Costa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tafoneiro FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Areosa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
