The audience thought a goal was coming when João Passos got free with Rui Carneiro in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sebolido booed when River Tagus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Neves in the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, André Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sebolido's supporters rose to their feet, but André Morais was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evandro Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolas Regalado to strike the kick off in the second half. Teófilo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rui Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute Nicolas Regalado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sebolido's zone, Teófilo Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Carneiro came out of the goal and Teófilo Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as André Morais kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Evandro Coutinho. That made the score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Sebolido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Sá to maneuver through the defense. Evandro Coutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Morais in the 69th minute. A collision led to River Tagus FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. João Passos hit a great ball. Rui Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Regalado in the 74th minute of the match. Rui Carneiro came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by River Tagus FC's Teófilo Teixeira. But to his dismay, Teófilo Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 92nd minute, André Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Evandro Coutinho was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Óscar Neves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Óscar Neves really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2.
