Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Matos started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cândido Freitas in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Coimbra saved Almargem from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Daniel Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almargem's Jaime Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Pacheco in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aquilino Coimbra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. André Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Cândido Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Coimbra having to interfere. Aquilino Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Pacheco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. André Saraiva's late challenge caught a SC Decermilo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Decermilo booed when Almargem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Manuel Valente sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Almargem's Aquilino Coimbra didn't even have to move. Aquilino Coimbra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SC Decermilo booed when Almargem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Bernardo Pacheco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aquilino Coimbra. Almargem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Pacheco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 28th match minute, SC Decermilo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Almargem's Francisco Mesquita couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Decermilo. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Jaime Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almargem's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Almargem's Aquilino Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Pacheco in the 41st minute of play. Fernando Castro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Cândido Freitas made the kick off in the second half. Cândido Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Aquilino Coimbra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Decermilo's Bernardo Pacheco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Aquilino Coimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Freitas in the 59th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Cândido Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Almargem's Aquilino Coimbra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Sousa hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Francisco Mesquita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jaime Matos scored 3-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SC Decermilo's Fernando Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Barbosa in the 73rd minute of play. If Jaime Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Bernardo Pacheco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aquilino Coimbra, passed just outside the right post. Francisco Mesquita hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Aquilino Coimbra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Fernando Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Matos in the 87th minute of play. The SC Decermilo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Castro should have stopped the shot. Almargem's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
