Claudemiro Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 56 minutes, Marcos Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Golfeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Golfeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Paredes in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudemiro Trindade saved Selimonos from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Ferrão in the 89th minute of play forced SC Golfeiras's goalkeeper Carlos Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Ferrão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Silva having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Jarbas Moita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Golfeiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selimonos the free kick. Jarbas Moita kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
