Artur Avelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 6 minutes, Dércio Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loucas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dércio Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Artur Avelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramiro Rego kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dércio Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Loucas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F C GAIA:s goal. In the 30th minute, Angélico Salgueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Catarino Palhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Loucas FC defense, Elias Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesualdo Gueifão. The Loucas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesualdo Gueifão should have stopped the shot. Artur Avelar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. Artur Avelar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Vieira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Avelar in the 54th minute of play forced F C GAIA's goalkeeper Frederico Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Avelar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesualdo Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Garcia in the 59th minute of the match. Zacarias Viegas lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for F C GAIA. Óscar Cruz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jesualdo Gueifão. 3-3. After a defensive mix-up in F C GAIA's zone, Nicolas Roriz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Vieira came out of the goal and Nicolas Roriz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Loucas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F C GAIA! Frederico Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Avelar in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Joaquim Padilha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Frederico Vieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Dércio Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Artur Avelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Artur Avelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Avelar took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frederico Vieira. Frederico Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Loucas FC had played much better football throughout.
