Hilário Gois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Martins in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Aires in the 53rd minute of play forced Spartak Modelos's goalkeeper Basílio Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amável Camargo took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basílio Gomes. Basílio Gomes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spartak Modelos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abel Arruda was slow to take the kick. During this time scp pargo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led scp pargo's Abel Arruda to fire away a dangerous shot which Basílio Gomes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Spartak Modelos's goal looked a bit too open when Amável Camargo came free, but Basílio Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When David Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spartak Modelos's protests and gave David Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead.
