Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Barcel's Dimas Portela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dimas Portela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Barbosa was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Reinaldo Sales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luís Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Pedro Pegado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cadaveira the free kick. A collision led to Barcel getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pedro Pegado hit a great ball. Cadaveira's Nuno Moniz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Barcel. Mário Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Diamantino Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimas Portela struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Luís Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcel. 31 minutes into the match, Barcel's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Campos came free, but Diamantino Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Cadaveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Freitas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Sales in the 37th minute of play forced Cadaveira's goalkeeper Luís Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimas Portela got free with Luís Barbosa in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bento Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mário Campos made a kick off. Mário Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Diamantino Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barcel's Dimas Portela got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65thth minute of the game Bento Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcel's Diamantino Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Dimas Portela came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Barcel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimas Portela couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Reinaldo Sales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luís Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimas Portela, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Dimas Portela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mário Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadaveira's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute, Mário Campos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Diamantino Guerra, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Barcel's Pedro Pegado got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Cadaveira's goal looked a bit too open when Reinaldo Sales came free, but Luís Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Diamantino Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albertino Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The long shot by Nuno Moniz in the 93rd minute really tested Diamantino Guerra's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Lucas Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
