SC Agucadoira's Altino Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Torres in the 20th minute of play. If Amável Damásio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Agucadoira booed when SC Azinhega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Altino Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Artur Torres made a precise shot to the right of Altino Saraiva. SC Agucadoira's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half SC Azinhega were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
