In the 18th minute Gabriel Ornelas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SC Jou's Gabriel Ornelas got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rui Patrício had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Castanheira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Jou's goalkeeper Aprígio Figueiras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 played minutes SC Jou got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Matos. Rui Patrício might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aprígio Figueiras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Patrício ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Unidos de Arcena's zone, Miguel Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Teixeira came out of the goal and Miguel Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Ademar Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unidos de Arcena's Nuno Pimentel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Jou. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Aprígio Figueiras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Patrício in the 54th minute. If Gabriel Ornelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Ornelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Fábio Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Ornelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Unidos de Arcena got a freekick which was hit by Veríssimo Domingos. Enzo Baldaia charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enzo Baldaia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Unidos de Arcena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Baldaia to maneuver through the defense. Unidos de Arcena's Fábio Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Ornelas in the 74th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Unidos de Arcena got a freekick which was hit by Alex Amaro. Horácio Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Aprígio Figueiras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Ornelas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Jou's Aprígio Figueiras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Borges in the 88th minute of play. Vasco Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aprígio Figueiras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horácio Borges went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. SC Jou were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
