Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Melo started the match with the kick off. Higino Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Melo's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Higino Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Melo in the 6th minute of play. Higino Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascoal Carvalhais in the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Márcio Fagundes during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Lamedo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nabainhos:s goal. The referee gave Nabainhos a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hamilton Menezes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lamedo's Higino Pinheiro. 0-1. David Pinto hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Nabainhos's Cláudio Ferrão got control of the ball when Hugo Quintas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cláudio Ferrão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Eanes in the 22nd minute of play. Evandro Garcez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Hugo Quintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Luís Peseiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Lamedo's Márcio Azeredo tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Leonel Eanes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lamedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonel Eanes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Ferrão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Eanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Eanes made a kick off. Hugo Quintas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 minutes of play, Nabainhos's Pascoal Carvalhais made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Higino Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Higino Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Pascoal Carvalhais sent off a good shot on target. Cláudio Ferrão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Eanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pascoal Carvalhais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino Pinheiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Eanes in the 73rd minute of play forced Nabainhos's goalkeeper Cláudio Ferrão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Alexandre Melo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Higino Pinheiro. The goal made the score 0-3. Cláudio Ferrão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Eanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Luís Peseiro fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nabainhos's protests and gave Luís Peseiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lamedo booed when Nabainhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Peseiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lamedo's Márcio Azeredo tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Lamedo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nabainhos's performance. The match ended with a win for Nabainhos.
