The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matias Taborda scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseu Espinosa's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Cosme Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cosme Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Matos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pascoal Mourão. FC MST's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 35 minutes, Matias Taborda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC MST and the Lousada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matias Taborda kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Afonso Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Idalécio Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Cosme Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosme Ponce was the one to do the kick off. Idalécio Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cláudio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Pascoal Mourão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lousada. Matias Taborda was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, FC MST's Matias Taborda got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eliseu Espinosa got free with Afonso Dantas in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Porto hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Paulo Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Pascoal Mourão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Porto in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosme Ponce in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascoal Mourão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pascoal Mourão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The Lousada fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Lousada's Cosme Ponce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 83 minutes into the match, FC MST's Eliseu Espinosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Dantas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Afonso Dantas made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Marcelo Bacelar sent off a good shot on target. Pascoal Mourão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Rotariu in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lousada had won after a very even match.
