If Lucas Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, SC Oliveira's goal looked a bit too open when Altino Carrasqueira came free, but Lourenço Rios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, SC Oliveira's goalkeeper Lourenço Rios had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Machado. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Machado got free with Lourenço Rios in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Altino Carrasqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frangoneiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Altino Carrasqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Rios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lourenço Rios made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Machado in the 24th minute. SC Oliveira's Lourenço Rios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save SC Oliveira from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in SC Oliveira's zone, Lucas Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lourenço Rios came out of the goal and Lucas Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frangoneiro FC's Altino Carrasqueira got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Altino Carrasqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Rios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Altino Carrasqueira in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Altino Carrasqueira made the kick off in the second half. Altino Carrasqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lourenço Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Lucas Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Rios having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Frangoneiro FC's Altino Carrasqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lourenço Rios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Rios having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, SC Oliveira's goal looked a bit too open when Altino Carrasqueira came free, but Lourenço Rios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lourenço Rios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Pessoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
