SC Caridade's Quintino Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Pereira in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to SC Caridade getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Severino Vilaverde hit a great ball. If Domingos Ferro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Amadeo Anaya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quintino Santarém. SC Caridade's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeo Anaya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, SC Caridade's Valério Chagas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, SC Caridade's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Pereira came free, but Quintino Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Vilaverde was the one to do the kick off. Quintino Santarém didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdo Breckenfeld went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute of the match Júlio Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quintino Santarém showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by David Graça in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Falagueiro's Jorge Neto. In the 74th minute Domingos Ferro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintino Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
