When Salvador Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Medronheira FC's protests and gave Salvador Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. The attack was good, but when Hamilton Laureano in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 17th match minute, Medronheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidónio Costa to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Medronheira FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adérito lago was slow to take the kick. During this time GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's corner Adérito lago fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kevin Severiano quite easily take care of the ball. GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's Leonel Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Gusmão in the 21st minute of play. If Honorato Gusmão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Medronheira FC's Kevin Severiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Medronheira FC from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's Nélson Neto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 40th minute, Simão Damásio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kevin Severiano, passed just outside the right post. Kevin Severiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nélson Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Kevin Severiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamilton Laureano in the 51st minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's Adérito lago broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Quintino Paixão's late challenge caught a GLADIADORES DE ALFENA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quintino Paixão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th match minute, Medronheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintino Paixão to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Medronheira FC's Sidónio Costa got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamilton Laureano in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Severiano saved Medronheira FC from getting behind. 73 minutes into the match, Medronheira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamilton Laureano came free, but Kevin Severiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Hamilton Laureano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Severiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 81 played minutes Medronheira FC got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Cordeiro. Nélson Neto took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Severiano. Kevin Severiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Damásio during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aldo Ferro hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Kevin Severiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamilton Laureano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Hamilton Laureano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. GLADIADORES DE ALFENA were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Medronheira FC for a fine match.
