Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Bento Nunes made the kick off and thus started the match. Geraldo Horta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Bruno Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Esteves having to interfere. After having played for 8 minutes, Leonardo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assequins FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Salvado came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavos FC's Bento Nunes. But to his dismay, Bento Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alexandre Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Bento Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rui Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Lavos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Tavares couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Lavos FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Martins. Rui Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Salvado having to interfere. The supporters of Lavos FC booed when Assequins FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Esparteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lavos FC's Bento Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aldaír Campos during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aldaír Campos hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Leonardo Correias short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Bruno Esteves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Filipe Martins's late challenge caught a Assequins FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Martins helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lavos FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Filipe Martins hit a great ball. After the first half Lavos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. Lavos FC's Bento Nunes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 51st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Leonardo Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Esteves having to make a save. After 55 played minutes Lavos FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Baptista. Pedro Salvado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Tavares in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Bento Nunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Pedro Salvado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moisés Abrantes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Nicolau Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leonardo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bento Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Salvado having to interfere. 0-4 became the score in the 82nd minute when Bento Nunes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Esteves was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 93rd match minute, Lavos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Correia to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Lavos FC defense, Leonardo Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Esteves. The Lavos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Esteves should have stopped the shot. The Lavos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lavos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
