In the 11th minute, Armando Vaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Concórdia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Filipe Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Lousada in the 17th minute of play. Filipe Bezerra made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Juvenal Malafaia sent off a good shot on target. Alberto Malta kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Oliveirinha's Cristiano Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Malta in the 32nd minute of play. Concórdia's Filipe Bezerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Concórdia from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Oliveirinha booed when Concórdia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abílio Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Oliveirinha's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Malta came free, but Cristiano Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Malta to strike the kick off in the second half. If Armando Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Concórdia's Filipe Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Lousada in the 59th minute of play. Cristiano Belém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Malta, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Igor Malheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Alberto Malta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concórdia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Malta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Cristiano Belém managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Concórdia's Armando Vaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Malta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Cristiano Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Belém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Malta in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, one of Concórdia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Oliveirinha a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gil Lage, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Concórdia's Filipe Bezerra. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Concórdia's zone, Juvenal Malafaia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Bezerra came out of the goal and Juvenal Malafaia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Alberto Malta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Belém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Malta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Oliveirinha's zone, Alberto Malta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Belém came out of the goal and Alberto Malta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Miguéis charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Miguéis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Concórdia's Alberto Malta got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Armando Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Concórdia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
