The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Five 5 Serzedelo's Oliveira Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delfim Veiga, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliveira Neves in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reinaldo Calçada saved Recreativo Ninho do Açor from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Salvador Portela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Leiria was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Oliveira Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Five 5 Serzedelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Jaime Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinaldo Calçada. Recreativo Ninho do Açor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 27 played minutes, Five 5 Serzedelo's Inácio Pereira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reinaldo Calçada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Five 5 Serzedelo reached it. When Oliveira Neves came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Five 5 Serzedelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliveira Neves couldn't finish the play. When Five 5 Serzedelo's Oliveira Neves in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Recreativo Ninho do Açor's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliveira Neves in the 37th managed to get into a good position. In the 48th minute, Almiro Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The Recreativo Ninho do Açor players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Five 5 Serzedelo were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Laureano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oliveira Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armindo Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Calçada having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliveira Neves in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinaldo Calçada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliveira Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Calçada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oliveira Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Recreativo Ninho do Açor's Reinaldo Calçada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliveira Neves in the 74th minute of play. Recreativo Ninho do Açor's Reinaldo Calçada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Recreativo Ninho do Açor from getting a goal against them. Oliveira Neves had several of the Recreativo Ninho do Açor's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Reinaldo Calçada as he didn't even see the shot coming. Five 5 Serzedelo's Pedro Cruz was substituted for Carlos Martins. Five 5 Serzedelo's Alexandre Valente was substituted for Nuno Rocha. Oliveira Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reinaldo Calçada having to make a save. José Paiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reinaldo Calçada came out and tried to block the shot, but José Paiva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 99th minute. The Recreativo Ninho do Açor fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Five 5 Serzedelo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
