The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Ávila got free with Alexandre Matias in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joinernick João's Alexandre Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Vaz in the 22nd minute of play. Alexandre Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Vaz in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gervásio Vaz in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Matias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexandre Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Guarda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amílcar Mendes got free with Alexandre Matias in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diogo Freitas's late challenge caught a SC Arneiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diogo Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes Joinernick João got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Freitas. Josué Mourão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Mourão having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Joinernick João getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Diogo Freitas hit a great ball. Gervásio Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alexandre Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Coimbra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Mourão having to make a save. Cândido Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Mourão having to interfere. Cândido Brás had several of the SC Arneiros's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Josué Mourão as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 89 played minutes Joinernick João got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Freitas. Joinernick João were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SC Arneiros's much stronger midfield.
