Tiago Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Vítor Gueifão made a huge save. The supporters of PezoFC booed when Icarus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, Icarus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. With 21 minutes on the clock, Catarino Amorim commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th minute, one of PezoFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for PezoFC. Vítor Gueifão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Micael Perdigão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. When Amílcar Sá came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the PezoFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Sá couldn't finish the play. Amílcar Sá took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hélio Nunes. Hélio Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Micael Perdigão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vítor Gueifão, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Icarus FC's zone, Catarino Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélio Nunes came out of the goal and Catarino Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micael Perdigão in the 43rd minute of play. Filipe Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílcar Sá stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Alexandre Gueifão in the 53rd minute really tested Hélio Nunes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Hélio Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Barros in the 56th minute of play.
