Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sidónio Peralta made the kick off which started today's match. Sidónio Peralta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lourenço Pereira came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidónio Peralta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. If Sidónio Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes in the game, Sidónio Peralta fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lourenço Pereira having to interfere. In the 12th minute Sidónio Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lourenço Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Cantelaes's Albertino Tavares got a free kick in the 17th minute. Álvaro Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lourenço Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Lourenço Pereira was a little too slow when Sidónio Peralta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. Sidónio Peralta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Pereira having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sidónio Peralta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lourenço Pereira. That made the score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match, Sidónio Peralta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lourenço Pereira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Álvaro Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Pereira having to make a save. SC Cantelaes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Sidónio Peralta scored to the left of an out of position Lourenço Pereira, making the score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Nascimento to make the kick off. If Álvaro Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Álvaro Moutinho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Vera Cruz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Moutinho couldn't finish the play. Joel Severiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lourenço Pereira having to make a save. In the 60th minute, Sidónio Peralta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lourenço Pereira was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 64th match minute, Vera Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. Sidónio Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Pereira having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, SC Cantelaes's goal looked a bit too open when Sidónio Peralta came free, but Lourenço Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Morais recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes, Sidónio Peralta made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Cantelaes's Lourenço Pereira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to SC Cantelaes getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Duarte Jesus hit a great ball. Lourenço Pereira came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Vera Cruz's Sidónio Peralta. But to his dismay, Sidónio Peralta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 95 minutes into the match, SC Cantelaes's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Moutinho came free, but Lourenço Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Vera Cruz fully deserved thier win.
