Eulalio Elequemedo took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Faria. Humberto Faria dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute Niceto Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Faria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Izel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Humberto Faria having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Rui Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes of play, FC Tó Madeira's Niceto Izel made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 played minutes Antoinha got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Machado. After 46 minutes, Niceto Izel made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Antoinha's Humberto Faria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niceto Izel to make the kick off. If Hugo Baldaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lourenço Oliveira hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Tó Madeira's Niceto Izel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Faria. That made the score 0-6 after 57 minutes of play. FC Tó Madeira's Hélio Igrejas got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the game, Niceto Izel lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Humberto Faria. Humberto Faria stood somewhat misplaced when Niceto Izel came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 70 minute. 75 minutes in the game, Niceto Izel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Humberto Faria having to interfere. Hélio Igrejas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Antoinha getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gustavo Cardoso hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Lourenço Oliveira with Miguel Machado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Niceto Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 88 played minutes FC Tó Madeira got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Elequemedo. When Niceto Izel in the 92nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Humberto Faria kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-9 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Humberto Faria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eulalio Elequemedo in the 97th minute.
