Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vicente Sequeira got the match started through his kick off. Duarte Gouveia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Rogério Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Pestana in the 9th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Viriato Pestana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Pestana in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gondiais's Bruno Fragoso got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Gondiais's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Faria came free, but Rogério Rangel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gondiais's Rogério Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Santiago in the 38th minute of play. After some careless play in the Gondiais defense, Viriato Pestana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Rangel. The Gondiais fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Rangel should have stopped the shot. After 44 played minutes Gondiais got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Belém. Rogério Rangel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Viriato Pestana went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Gouveia to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Silvério Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gondiais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvério Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauro Vilaverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Sequeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 55 minutes, Viriato Pestana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal Gold Academy and the Gondiais players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Portugal Gold Academy getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Viriato Pestana hit a great ball. Mauro Vilaverde came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Gondiais's Vicente Sequeira. But to his dismay, Vicente Sequeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Fernando Faria hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With 65 minutes on the clock, Hilário Carreira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Gondiais:s Rogério Rangel showed great skill when he stopped Tomás Barros:s penalty. Viriato Pestana made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 71stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Rogério Rangel would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Rogério Rangel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Silvério Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Mauro Vilaverde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gondiais. The long shot by Tarcísio Lessa in the 88th minute really tested Rogério Rangel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rogério Rangel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Pestana in the 89th minute. After 91 played minutes Duarte Gouveia rounded Gondiais's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. 94 minutes into the game, Fernando Faria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portugal Gold Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gondiais the free kick. After a rather tough play, Portugal Gold Academy's Fernando Faria got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Duarte Gouveia fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portugal Gold Academy's protests and gave Duarte Gouveia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Duarte Gouveia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Portugal Gold Academy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
