Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) SC Barbito's Delfim Teixeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Elias Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Artur Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Teixeira in the 18th minute of play forced Genizio's goalkeeper Olavo Eanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Eanes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Genizio's goalkeeper Olavo Eanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delfim Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olavo Eanes having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Delfim Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Guarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alípio Barata in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Genizio were awarded a corner. Serafim Arruda went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Serafim Arruda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this André Guarda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Éder Carvalhal in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Guarda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Elias Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Guarda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Artur Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Olavo Eanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, SC Barbito's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Marinho came free, but André Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute Elias Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Genizio were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Éder Carvalhal to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Delfim Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Eanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 51 played minutes Genizio got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Alves. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Delfim Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Barbito's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Eanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Barbito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Éder Carvalhal scored to the left of an out of position André Guarda, making the score, 0-2. SC Barbito's André Guarda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Alves in the 59th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Marinho got free with André Guarda in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elias Marinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of André Guarda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Éder Carvalhal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. André Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cláudio Alves fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Genizio's protests and gave Cláudio Alves a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Genizio getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cláudio Alves hit a great ball. Delfim Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Elias Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes SC Barbito got a freekick which was hit by Artur Cabral. Éder Carvalhal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Guarda having to make a save. Elias Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. André Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SC Barbito supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Genizio's performance. The match ended with a win for Genizio.
