The HR TEAM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Pinzio's Lourenço Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Januário Candal in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Sales in the 23rd minute of play forced HR TEAM's goalkeeper Silvério Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute of the match Pinzio got a corner. HR TEAM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josué Sales ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hugo Poças came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lourenço Vidal could save by the left post. In the 30th minute Josué Sales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvério Rios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Rego's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Lourenço Vidal made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Hugo Poças sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute Josué Sales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Josué Sales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvério Rios was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pinzio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué Sales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Joaquim Miguéis managed to get in a good position for a shot. HR TEAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Miguéis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lourenço Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute Josué Sales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Rios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Carlos Pádua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Januário Candal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. HR TEAM were victorious despite being under pressure from Pinzio for much of the match.
