With a little luck, Cernache's Heitor Pires got control of the ball when Juvenal Galvão tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Cernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Juvenal Galvão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 15 minutes into the game, Teteu Sport club's Ademar Barroso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heitor Pires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Teteu Sport club's Ademar Barroso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heitor Pires. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. Joel Velasques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Heitor Pires made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Santos in the 33rd minute of play forced Teteu Sport club's goalkeeper Filipe Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Quaresma during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Juvenal Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Teteu Sport club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juvenal Galvão couldn't finish the play. If Juvenal Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heitor Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Cernache's Heitor Pires proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Cernache from getting a goal against them. After having played for 48 minutes, Juvenal Galvão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teteu Sport club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Galvão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Barroso made a kick off. Cernache's Heitor Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Galvão in the 52nd minute of play. In the 60th minute Juvenal Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Ademar Barroso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heitor Pires was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Heitor Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Galvão in the 70th minute of the match. Cernache's Delfim Carvalho pulled a muscle in his back after 77 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 77 played minutes Teteu Sport club got a freekick which was hit by Joel Velasques. If Armindo Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardo Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Heitor Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Amorim having to interfere. Heitor Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Galvão in the 98th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Teteu Sport club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cernache had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
