Nuno Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Malheiro in the 27th minute of the match. Tomé Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jacinto Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Fc almancil's Virgílio Moutinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto Paixão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacinto Paixão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Moutinho's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Tomé Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgílio Moutinho was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the game Josué Moniz made a throw-in which Hamilton Neto played forward. Nuno Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Malheiro in the 58th minute of play. Bruno Lousada kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in EM PAUSA's zone, Jesualdo Caires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Paixão came out of the goal and Jesualdo Caires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Leiria came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by EM PAUSA's Hamilton Neto. But to his dismay, Hamilton Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 73rd minute Virgílio Moutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Leonardo Macena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc almancil's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Macena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Paixão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesualdo Caires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jacinto Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc almancil's Virgílio Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fc almancil's Virgílio Moutinho in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EM PAUSA's goalie prevented a goal. The EM PAUSA players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
