A collision led to Cernache getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. José Jesus hit a great ball. Heitor Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamilton Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heitor Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamilton Neto went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Malheiro in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heitor Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cernache's Heitor Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamilton Neto in the 27th minute of play. Hamilton Neto hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jacinto Paixão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Martins in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute Henrique Lopes suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Bruno Lousada fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EM PAUSA's protests and gave Bruno Lousada a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, EM PAUSA's Bruno Lousada got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Jesus was the one to do the kick off. Heitor Pires made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Bruno Lousada sent off a good shot on target. EM PAUSA's Jacinto Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Jesus in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes EM PAUSA got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Lousada. Heitor Pires made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Pedro Malheiro sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cernache's João Martins got a free kick in the 65th minute. Jacinto Paixão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Hamilton Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Pires having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Hamilton Neto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Pires. Cernache's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hamilton Neto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. José Leão hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Cernache's Heitor Pires got control of the ball when Hamilton Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 86 minutes on the clock, Rafael Damásio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of EM PAUSA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cernache:s goal. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Cernache. José Leão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacinto Paixão. 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Malheiro got free with Heitor Pires in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
