After a defensive mix-up in Cernache's zone, Virgílio Moutinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Pires came out of the goal and Virgílio Moutinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Jesus hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Tomé Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Leão hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Virgílio Moutinho put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Heitor Pires. In the 37th minute Leonardo Macena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cernache's Heitor Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Moutinho in the 38th minute of play. Virgílio Moutinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Heitor Pires skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Virgílio Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 58th match minute, Fc almancil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesualdo Caires to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, João Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cernache's supporters rose to their feet, but João Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Leiria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Lameiras hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. José Leão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nuno Leiria. Fc almancil's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67th minute, Nuno Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Cernache defense, Virgílio Moutinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Heitor Pires. The Cernache fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Heitor Pires should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Cernache getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. José Leão hit a great ball. If Virgílio Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the match, Cernache's goal looked a bit too open when Virgílio Moutinho came free, but Heitor Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Moutinho in the 82nd minute of play forced Cernache's goalkeeper Heitor Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heitor Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Moutinho in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Cernache booed when Fc almancil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Lameiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Virgílio Moutinho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Cernache's Heitor Pires. Heitor Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fc almancil fully deserved thier win.
