The tension between the Pinhal and the Lobatos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pinhal's Vicente Borba got a free kick in the 5th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Valério kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Durval Couto. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Dário Macena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Garcia. Lobatos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dário Macena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 17 minutes into the match, Lobatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Macena came free, but Ivan Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Pinhal might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Pinhal ran back to his position shaking his head. Vicente Pinhal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Garcia having to make a save. Durval Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Fernandes in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Lobatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Pinhal came free, but Ivan Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 84th minute Adolfo Ponte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Valério in the 87th minute of play. Vicente Pinhal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Garcia having to interfere. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobatos FC's goalkeeper Ivan Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th match minute, Lobatos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Resende to maneuver through the defense. Lobatos FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
