In the 2nd match minute, Pinhal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Borba to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Pinhal booed when EM PAUSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Horta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Macena scored 1-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Paixão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. EM PAUSA's Jacinto Paixão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Borba in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to EM PAUSA getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Pedro Malheiro hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Borba got free with Jacinto Paixão in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruno Lousada during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes EM PAUSA got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Lousada. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Malheiro in the 27th minute of play forced Pinhal's goalkeeper Durval Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vicente Pinhal fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinhal's protests and gave Vicente Pinhal a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Pinhal's Jacinto Paixão threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dário Macena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. EM PAUSA's Bruno Lousada got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Bruno Lousada off the ground. Vicente Borba kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, EM PAUSA's goal looked a bit too open when Laurentino Gama came free, but Jacinto Paixão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Damásio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of EM PAUSA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pinhal:s goal. Dário Macena shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Jacinto Paixão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Pinhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute, Dário Macena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinhal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurentino Gama in the 78th minute of play forced EM PAUSA's goalkeeper Jacinto Paixão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pinhal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dário Macena in the 79th minute. A nice corner shot did that Dário Macena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacinto Paixão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the EM PAUSA defense, Vicente Pinhal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Paixão. The EM PAUSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Paixão should have stopped the shot. Jacinto Paixão came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinhal's Dário Macena. But to his dismay, Dário Macena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. Jacinto Paixão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Macena, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
