A collision led to Quiqas F.C getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ardenko Planovšek hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Mário Palmeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquim Gueifão was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. David Madeira stood somewhat misplaced when Iván Luis Zamorano came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 12 minute. In the 17th minute of the match Januário Nogueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Madeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Palmeira in the 18th minute of play forced Quiqas F.C's goalkeeper Joaquim Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quiqas F.C's Iván Luis Zamorano managed to work through Touriz's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Iván Luis Zamorano dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Iván Luis Zamorano took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Madeira. David Madeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Quiqas F.C's attentive Hugo Hansson managed to snatch the ball when Rúben Álvares made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Touriz's zone, Aquilino Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Madeira came out of the goal and Aquilino Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Touriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Portugal to maneuver through the defense. Joaquim Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micael Portela in the 45th minute of the match. David Madeira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 50th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aquilino Cunha. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Palmeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micael Portela in the 55th minute. Quiqas F.C's Joaquim Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Palmeira in the 57th minute of play. David Madeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Luis Zamorano, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Touriz's goalkeeper David Madeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Quiqas F.C's goalkeeper Joaquim Gueifão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Micael Portela. After 67 played minutes Quiqas F.C got a freekick which was hit by Alcino Lisboa. Joaquim Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micael Portela in the 69th minute. Iván Luis Zamorano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. David Madeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Madeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedito Silva went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Quiqas F.C booed when Touriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Estevão Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Touriz's zone, Benedito Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Madeira came out of the goal and Benedito Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rúben Álvares's late challenge caught a Quiqas F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rúben Álvares helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Touriz's Rúben Álvares got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Quiqas F.C fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Quiqas F.C's Iván Luis Zamorano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Iván Luis Zamorano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quiqas F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Touriz had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
