An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Cesário in the 4th minute of play forced UD Malha-Vacas's goalkeeper Durval Gameiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alípio Miguéis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Marques in the 10th minute of play forced Fintinhas's goalkeeper Pascoal Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Cesário received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Durval Gameiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Américo Cesário came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Fintinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Cesário couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Américo Cesário cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Durval Gameiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Amadeu Amaral hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Américo Cesário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, UD Malha-Vacas's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Paixão came free, but Durval Gameiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Amaral hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Rafael Paixão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Gameiro having to interfere. Durval Gameiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Paixão in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Américo Cesário shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Gameiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Marques was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, one of UD Malha-Vacas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Malha-Vacas. If Adélio Zarco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alípio Miguéis kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Durval Gameiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Alípio Miguéis sent off a good shot on target. 62 minutes into the game, Américo Cesário cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Durval Gameiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Paixão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Durval Gameiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Gameiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Américo Cesário in the 70th minute. In the 75th match minute, UD Malha-Vacas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesualdo Festas to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th match minute, Fintinhas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Leitão to maneuver through the defense.
