Salvador Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, Portugal Roots Generation was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Olívio Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xtreme Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cândido Trigueiro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Xtreme Academy's Olívio Oliveira got a free kick in the 26th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Nuno Bessa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Almiro Poças was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Alcântara scored 0-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Almiro Poças, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio Oliveira made a kick off. Almiro Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Poças having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Adriano Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal Roots Generation's zone, Sílvio Osório stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almiro Poças came out of the goal and Sílvio Osório tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portugal Roots Generation's Almiro Poças proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal Roots Generation from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Xtreme Academy's Nuno Bessa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Almiro Poças. That made the score 0-5 after 79 minutes of play. In the 91st minute, Sílvio Osório hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cândido Trigueiro hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Xtreme Academy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
