To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Hermínio Valadão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jakub Barvík. Morgan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermínio Valadão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Armando Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Aparício Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Herberto Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Quinta and the Morgan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes SC Quinta got a freekick which was hit by Herberto Coutinho. Tiago Damásio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aparício Franco having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Aparício Franco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Tiago Damásio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Morgan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Damásio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
