Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oitavos FC's Hélio Leiria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abílio Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abílio Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Abílio Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Vladimiro Lameirinhas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oitavos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Famous Grouse FC the free kick. Vladimiro Lameirinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. With his leg Júlio Mansilha managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Oitavos FC's Eurico Veiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Wilson Azeredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Famous Grouse FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Azeredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valério Azenha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Oitavos FC's zone, Durval Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Azenha came out of the goal and Durval Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Gonçalves in the 25th minute of play forced Oitavos FC's goalkeeper Valério Azenha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Prates hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Vladimiro Lameirinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Valério Azenha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Azeredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes Oitavos FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Lameirinhas. Júlio Mansilha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Moita in the 40th minute of play. Valério Azenha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilson Azeredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Famous Grouse FC booed when Oitavos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Moita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valério Azenha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Gonçalves in the 50th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Durval Gonçalves made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Wilson Azeredo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Oitavos FC's Valério Azenha. Valério Azenha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 58 minutes into the game, Israel Bernardes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oitavos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Famous Grouse FC the free kick. In the 58th minute, one of Oitavos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oitavos FC. Filipe Lemos shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Eurico Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Azeredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Azenha having to interfere. Valério Azenha was a little too slow when Durval Gonçalves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-2. 73 minutes into the match, Oitavos FC's goalkeeper Valério Azenha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilson Azeredo. After some careless play in the Oitavos FC defense, Wilson Azeredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valério Azenha. The Oitavos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valério Azenha should have stopped the shot. Wilson Azeredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valério Azenha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Azeredo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Abílio Valverde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Filipe Lemos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Azenha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Oitavos FC's zone, Wilson Azeredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valério Azenha came out of the goal and Wilson Azeredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Wilson Azeredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durval Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abílio Ramalho hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Famous Grouse FC played a much better game than Oitavos FC and deserved their victory. The Oitavos FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
