The audience thought a goal was coming when Adão Câmara got free with Cesário Costa in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sabino Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azelha FC's protests and gave Sabino Vasconcelos a yellow card for diving instead. Cesário Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angélico Abrantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamilton Calçada in the 28th minute of play forced SC Vade's goalkeeper Israel Campos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Azelha FC got a corner. SC Vade's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. With a little luck, Azelha FC's Cesário Costa got control of the ball when Adão Câmara tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Adão Câmara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesário Costa. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. The supporters of SC Vade booed when Azelha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Josué Vasconcelos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesário Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Israel Campos made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Hamilton Calçada sent off a good shot on target. After 73 minutes of play, SC Vade's Josué Vasconcelos made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cesário Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Azelha FC's Cesário Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angélico Abrantes in the 78th minute of play.
