Amável Diegues kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Wilson Azeredo struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Nicolau Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Famous Grouse FC. Nicolau Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Gonçalves in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Moliana defense, Wilson Azeredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolau Borges. The SC Moliana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolau Borges should have stopped the shot. In the 19thth minute of the game Wilson Azeredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Moliana's Nicolau Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Durval Gonçalves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolau Borges was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Wilson Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Mansilha having to interfere. Amável Diegues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durval Gonçalves to make the kick off. Durval Gonçalves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 60 minutes into the match, Anselmo Lobo notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Famous Grouse FC's Júlio Mansilha. Júlio Mansilha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 72 minutes into the game, Gastão Peseiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Moliana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Famous Grouse FC the free kick. After 72 played minutes SC Moliana got a freekick which was hit by Gastão Peseiro. Durval Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolau Borges having to interfere. Famous Grouse FC's Rafael Onofre suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Fábio Câmara fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Moliana's protests and gave Fábio Câmara a yellow card for diving instead. Famous Grouse FC's Adão Madruga was substituted for Rafael Onofre. Durval Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nicolau Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Durval Gonçalves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolau Borges. That made the score 1-5 in the 83 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilson Alves in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Mansilha saved Famous Grouse FC from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Famous Grouse FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amável Diegues came free, but Júlio Mansilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Azeredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Famous Grouse FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
