After 57 played minutes, SC Moitinhos's Manuel Silveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Israel Lustosa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Moitinhos reached it. 60 minutes into the game, SC Moitinhos's Dércio Vidigal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltasar Lages scored 4-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Israel Lustosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Laureano Malta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Malta in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, SC Moitinhos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Laureano Malta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Laureano Malta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Amaral. That made the score 4-2 in the 99 minute of play. Sporting FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
