GRiSP's Levi Hanmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Ribas in the 34th minute of play. Vladimiro Lages charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Lages the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute, Vladimiro Lages hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lourenço Bezerra to make the kick off. Levi Hanmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Leonel Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of GRiSP booed when MTK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Lages didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Vladimiro Lages in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by GRiSP's Homero Manso. In the 67th minute, Márcio Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute of the match Hermínio Vidal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Levi Hanmark showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Leonel Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Levi Hanmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Gois, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Samuel Gois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 89 minutes, Samuel Gois made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. GRiSP's Levi Hanmark tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuel Gois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levi Hanmark having to interfere. Samuel Gois sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
