In the 9th minute Leonel Tomé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Macieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Macieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lisandro Lages in the 10th minute. SCPUMPKINS's Vicente Macieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Tomé in the 14th minute of play. SCPUMPKINS's Vicente Macieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SCPUMPKINS from getting a goal against them. Vicente Macieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Oliveira in the 19th minute of the match. When Leonel Tomé fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purgacal's protests and gave Leonel Tomé a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Macieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lisandro Lages went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Purgacal's Lisandro Lages dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After 42 minutes, Idalécio Quinaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Purgacal and the SCPUMPKINS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vicente Macieira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonel Tomé showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel Tomé was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st match minute, Purgacal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Lages to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Macieira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 71 minutes into the match, SCPUMPKINS's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Tomé came free, but Vicente Macieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SCPUMPKINS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Tomé was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Purgacal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
