After 3 minutes, Elias Diegues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSRD OPSERC and the Galáticos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elias Diegues hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Jorge Caldeira in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alex Ponte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alex Ponte was a little too slow when Jorge Caldeira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Petros Fyssas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abílio Cunha's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Abílio Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSRD OPSERC's Petros Fyssas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Ponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Caldeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abílio Cunha in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petros Fyssas saved CSRD OPSERC from getting behind. Tiago Belém took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petros Fyssas. Petros Fyssas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Petros Fyssas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abílio Cunha in the 39th minute of the match. The Galáticos FC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elias Diegues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48thth minute of the game Abílio Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSRD OPSERC's Petros Fyssas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abílio Cunha made a kick off. Petros Fyssas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abílio Cunha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Fonseca in the 61st minute of play forced Galáticos FC's goalkeeper Alex Ponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leandro Miranda's late challenge caught a Galáticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. Petros Fyssas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abílio Cunha's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Diogo Azenha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Caldeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alex Ponte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petros Fyssas made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Abílio Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Abílio Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Petros Fyssas made a huge save. The supporters of Galáticos FC booed when CSRD OPSERC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petros Fyssas didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Petros Fyssas came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Galáticos FC's Abílio Cunha. But to his dismay, Abílio Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. CSRD OPSERC's Leal Fonseca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Diogo Azenha in the 85 minute of the game. If Tiago Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Galáticos FC booed when CSRD OPSERC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leal Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the game Mário Amorim made a throw-in which Jorge Caldeira played forward. Abílio Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Petros Fyssas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galáticos FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
