Metropolis 1928 CC's Eliseu Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Raposo in the 7th minute of play. Eliseu Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gervásio Raposo in the 9th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Torcato Loureiro during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Metropolis 1928 CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torcato Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th match minute, Metropolis 1928 CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Lencastre to maneuver through the defense. When Gervásio Raposo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alcateia FC's protests and gave Gervásio Raposo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Alcateia FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gervásio Raposo hit a great ball. Alcateia FC's Șerban Iovanovici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Alcateia FC from getting a goal against them. Metropolis 1928 CC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Alcateia FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dércio Luz took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Alcateia FC's goalie and right to Gentil Torcato. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Alcateia FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Gervásio Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 29 minutes, Higino Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metropolis 1928 CC and the Alcateia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Higino Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Eliseu Franco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Lugo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Gervásio Raposo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseu Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 44 minutes into the game, Alcateia FC's Gervásio Pedroso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Franco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gervásio Pedroso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseu Franco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervásio Pedroso went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metropolis 1928 CC's goalkeeper Eliseu Franco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Gervásio Pedroso took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Eliseu Franco to make any attempt to save it. Gervásio Raposo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th play minute Gervásio Pedroso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eliseu Franco. 0-6. Alcateia FC's Gervásio Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Gervásio Pedroso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Eliseu Franco made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Gervásio Pedroso sent off a good shot on target. Gervásio Pedroso scored 0-7 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Franco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Alcateia FC's Gervásio Pedroso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Franco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. Gervásio Pedroso scored 0-9 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Franco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hipólito Gama sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alcateia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
