In the 12thth minute of the game Elias Serpa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bela Vista FC's Ricardo Festas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Leal Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Festas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Cerqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Clube Futebol Belenenses's Telmo Fontes made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Festas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leal Esteves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Festas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elias Serpa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Festas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Ricardo Festas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carlos Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bela Vista FC's protests and gave Carlos Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. Clube Futebol Belenenses made a substitution. Jesualdo Casado replaced Telmo Fontes. In the 85th minute, Carlos Meireles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Festas didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Clube Futebol Belenenses's Jesualdo Casado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Jacinto Cerqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
