After a defensive mix-up in SC Valenciano's zone, Jacob Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filinto Paixão came out of the goal and Jacob Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Filinto Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Jacob Sanches ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filinto Paixão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hugo Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filinto Paixão having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Jacob Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Filinto Paixão. SC Valenciano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. If Hugo Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Filinto Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cabazadas United's Caio Guterres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Granja in the 27th minute of play. After 29 played minutes SC Valenciano got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Candeias. In the 32nd minute of the match Alex Lemos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filinto Paixão skillfully saved the ball. Igor Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Caio Guterres made a huge save. A collision led to Cabazadas United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Filinto Barbosa hit a great ball. Caio Guterres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Ferro in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Valenciano's Fabrício Granja slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Caio Guterres. That made the score 1-2 after 36 minutes of play. Igor Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Guterres having to interfere. When António Maia fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabazadas United's protests and gave António Maia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Valenciano booed when Cabazadas United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fabrício Granja came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SC Valenciano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício Granja couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute of the game, Emanuel Trindade landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimundo Passos during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Cabazadas United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Passos to maneuver through the defense. António Moita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caio Guterres. Cabazadas United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Igor Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Cabazadas United's Hugo Sanches ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filinto Paixão. Filinto Paixão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. SC Valenciano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Hugo Sanches scored to the left of an out of position Filinto Paixão, making the score, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jarbas Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Valenciano's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarbas Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Guterres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Ferro in the 76th minute of play forced Cabazadas United's goalkeeper Caio Guterres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Ferro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Caio Guterres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cabazadas United's Hugo Sanches in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Valenciano's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute Fabrício Granja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Guterres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Alexandre Candeias managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Valenciano's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Candeias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SC Valenciano's much stronger midfield.
