Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Coutinho started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 16th match minute, Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Marinho to maneuver through the defense. Valter Pinhal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesualdo Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Almeidas FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Eurico Quental hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, José Mendes took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Valter Pinhal to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Bettencourt to make the kick off. Valter Pinhal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Mendes went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute José Bettencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Pinhal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucílio Benevides having to interfere. After 78 minutes of play, Almeidas FC's Eurico Quental made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valter Pinhal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81stth minute of the game José Mendes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Devils's Valter Pinhal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Devils's Valter Pinhal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesualdo Faria in the 83rd minute of play. Avelino Carreira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucílio Benevides firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Almeidas FC's Eliseu Pinhal got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Avelino Carreira hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Valter Pinhal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Bettencourt in the 90th minute of play. Artur Damásio hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute of the match Alexandre Lima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valter Pinhal skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Devils booed when Almeidas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eurico Quental didn't get a good kick on the ball. 100 minutes had been played when some careless play by Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alexandre Lima was slow to take the kick. During this time Almeidas FC's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but José Bettencourt advanced and headed the ball into goal, 7-2 in the 100th minute. When the referee ended the match the Almeidas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
