The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Coutinho was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Avelino Carreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Valter Pinhal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tomé Soares charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomé Soares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Odivelas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Devils:s goal. If Pedro Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Pinhal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Quintanilha in the 70th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Alexandre Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Devils's Valter Pinhal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Quintanilha in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Pedro Coutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Coutinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Avelino Carreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nivaldo Lucena having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Odivelas FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
